Course Description
This qualification is suitable for those who work on or around electric/hybrid vehicles, including (but not limited to) the following examples of job titles: Mechanics; Technicians; Vehicle Fitters; Vehicle Electricians; Recovery Specialists; Vehicle Inspectors; Body repairers
The training will introduce basic diagnostic and testing procedures for EV & Hybrid vehicles. This is done using innovative test rigs that allow candidates to see in to the inner workings of high voltage drive train

- Isolation Measurements
- Measurements for relays
- Interlock & switches
- Measurements on smart systems
- Generation +/- and half waves
- Step up to DC Conversion
- Invertor, motor & battery measurements
Course Duration
- The course will take place over 1 days
Assessment
- Continual practical assessment will take place during the day plus there will be a short, online multiple choice exam
Eligibility Criteria for Candidates
There are no formal pre-requisites for this course, however, a basic understanding of electric and hybrid vehicle systems would be advantageous. This course follows on from Valeo EV & Hybrid: Essentials
